Raymond James analyst Eric Zaunscherb has updated his coverage on Platinum Group Metals Ltd. following the significant resource update on our Western Bushveld JV announced March 2nd. He has increased his price target from $1.80 to $2.30, and increased his rating to the firm's top 'STRONG BUY 1' category.

"A large proportion of additional Merensky resources were identified from the shallow (0-300m deep) portions of the mineralized horizon. This has allowed ongoing pre-feasibility work to concentrate on early cash flow and less capital intensive decline (versus shaft) access. We believe that additional upside resides with potential synergies associated with Anglo Platinum's adjacent Styldrift project. Feasibility work at Styldrift is ongoing concurrently with work by Platinum Group. Given this timing, we speculate that a conceptual rationalization of the two projects may occur within 12 months."
